Penuganchiprolu.

Sri Lakshmi Thirupathamma and Gopayya Swami

Penuganchiprolu village is situated in the Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh. It is about 20 km east of Jaggayyapeta and 20 km north of Nandigama, on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada road. Prime attraction is the Sri Tirupatamma Ammavari Temple.

Thirupathamma Old Temple at Penuganchiprolu

Best time to visit here is during the annual fair, known as Tirupatamma Jatra, conducted on the occasion of Magha Suddha Poornima (February-March). This temple is situated at penuganchiprolu village in krishna district. this temple built in the name of tirupatamma.she was a common
housewife.

New Temple
After death of her husband she was burned herself with her husbandbody . Then villagers built a temple the name of tirupatamma. This temple isvery famous in surounding districts.

This temple established in A.C.1700. This village is the native of Late Gopalakrishnayya Duggirala, a renowned leader in the non-violent Indian Freedom Movement. Penuganchiprolu Junior College serves this area.
